The new EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC will take effect on December 29, 2009 (exception: only portable cassette processing machinery or processing receivers with extrusion function can be implemented until June 29, 2011 to be implemented), replacing the current Machinery Directive 98/37/EC, with no buffer transition period. According to the document, a declaration under Directive 2006/42/EC can only be established after 29 December.

There are many differences in the new version of the Directive, which will have a greater impact on machinery manufacturers and distributors selling to the EU. The main changes of the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC: The main differences between the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the old Machinery Directive 98/37/EC are the scope of application of the Directive, basic health and safety requirements, definitions and conformity assessment procedures and market surveillance.

General mechanical hazards mainly come from the following four parts:
 1. When the processing machinery is used normally, if the processing parts are easy to rebound and hurt the staff, the design and manufacture of the processing machinery should be able to prevent the rebound of the processing parts, so as not to cause harm;
2. If the contact with the tool is still dangerous after the processing machine stops running, the processing machine must be equipped with an automatic stop device to ensure that the tool is stopped in a very short period of time;
 3. If the processing machine with the tool is not fully automated equipment, its design and manufacture should prevent the occurrence of injury incidents; or use a tool with a circular cross-section and limit its cutting thickness to keep the harm to a minimum.
4. Mechanical hazards: mainly from moving components, including the danger of extrusion, shearing or twisting caused by the moving shaft and transmission mechanism. Fixed or movable guards are recommended to prevent personnel from accessing hazardous areas.

Machine (China perfume capping machine manufacturer) safety stop requirements: The core of the safety protection of machinery and equipment is to stop the dangerous actions of the machine and equipment. How to stop the machine and equipment from running to stop is very important. Depending on the safety protection device used, there can be different safe stop functions. The stop function used in normal operation must be able to avoid the destruction of machinery, products and processes, and at the same time prevent the restart of the machinery and equipment, which is the requirement for the safe stop function

In addition to formulating various product safety directives, the EU has promulgated many different product safety standards. Some apply to a specific product, while others are general evaluation rules that apply to multiple products.
